ACTIVITIES:  Go off road on the Dakar rally tracks

This region of Morocco is well known in the adventure sport sector. There are many off road tracks that criss-cross the desert from village to village which are perfect for motor sports.
Rallying, moto biking, mountain biking, and cross country marathons are all popular around this area. The old Paris to Dakar route is nearby and it is still used regularly by teams for practicing their navigational and driving skills. Merzouga also hosts its own rallies and marathons and is on the route for other International Events like the Africa Eco Rally which has taken the place of the Paris Dakar Rally that moved to South America.
